« Previous Case Study
Centrifuge Buildings KinderMorgan began their Edmonton Terminal Expansion in 2012 and WF was awarded the contract for all structural steel work. This project required over 900 tonnes of steel.
Why WF was chosen
WF went through a very competitive bid process and audit before winning the bid. Our pricing, service history, and commitment to meeting client schedules separated WF from the other bidders.
Project Challenges countered with WF Solutions
- Limited Site Laydown: With limited space on site, WF worked with the erectors on site to partially assemble as many frames as possible and coordinate shipments so pieces would be installed upon arrival.
- Existing Steel: Previous steel structures were in place, and the client had limited drawings of these structures. Luckily, WF had completed some of the previous steel fabrication, and was able to merge old and new models to ensure fit-up onsite. The project was completed without a single non-conformity report.
